The Ellipal Titan is a hardware wallet from the Hong Kong-based company Ellipal, built around complete isolation from any network. The Titan 2.0 model has a large touchscreen that runs the entire app without ever connecting to a computer or phone. The key difference versus Ledger, Trezor, and the SafePal S1: the Titan physically has no USB port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or NFC. All communication with the companion app happens exclusively through QR codes.
Security and full air-gap
The SafePal S1 also communicates via QR without USB, but the Titan goes further: a metal, waterproof housing with a tamper-detection system that automatically wipes the private keys if any manipulation is detected. That sets it apart from the Ledger Nano X, which offers Bluetooth for convenience and knowingly accepts a smaller — but nonzero — radio attack surface, something the Titan never does in any variant. The large screen lets you verify the full recipient address before signing — a safeguard against "address poisoning." The firmware remains closed source — only the QR protocol is public, not the whole software stack. That puts the Titan closer to Ledger than to the fully transparent Trezor in terms of code verifiability, despite its advantage in physical isolation.
Supported coins
Over 10,000 tokens across more than 50 blockchains: Bitcoin, Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens, Solana, BNB Smart Chain, Cardano, XRP, Tron, Avalanche, Polygon, and Cosmos.
Price and variants
The Titan 2.0 costs more than the Ledger Nano S Plus, the Trezor Safe 3, or the SafePal S1 — the price reflects the larger screen, metal housing, and anti-tamper protection. A cheaper Titan Mini model offers the same philosophy in a more compact form.
Who it's for
Makes sense for people who prioritize physical hardware isolation, for example when holding larger amounts long term. If code verifiability is the priority, Trezor remains the better choice.
