Score breakdown

Computed directly from the data above — see the exact formula in our methodology.

Fees2.5/5

No single fee to compare — see the fee model details in the review.

Security2.5/5

Independent audit status isn't currently confirmed.

Liquidity (TVL)4.0/5

An aggregator doesn't hold its own pooled liquidity by design — it routes through other protocols' pools, so its own TVL figure doesn't reflect real market depth.

Network reach0.5/5

Available on 1 blockchain network (scaled against 10).

About Jupiter

Jupiter describes itself as "the liquidity infrastructure behind most of DeFi on Solana." It's an aggregator, not a classic DEX with its own pools — it finds the best price by searching across many Solana protocols at once.

How aggregation works

Jupiter provides a production-grade REST API for swaps, limit orders, DCA, prediction markets, and perpetual contracts — without developers having to manage RPC nodes themselves. Several routing engines (Metis, JupiterZ) compete to execute an order at the best price.

Supported networks

Solana only — unlike multi-chain aggregators such as 1inch, Jupiter doesn't offer swaps between different networks, instead focusing on Solana's speed and low fees.

Fees and the JUP token

There's no single fixed fee — the cost depends on which pools the order routes through, plus the Solana network fee (fractions of a cent). The JUP token hit an all-time high of $2 on January 31, 2024, has a maximum supply of 10 billion, and is used for governance and participation in the platform's revenue. Beyond swaps, Jupiter has built out a broader ecosystem: the Jupiter Mobile app, a card for spending USDC, and its own perpetual-contracts market.

Security

As an aggregator, Jupiter doesn't maintain its own large pools — its TVL according to DefiLlama sits close to zero by design of the architecture, not because of security problems. We couldn't find a clearly confirmed scope of audits covering the whole product ecosystem, so we mark the audit status as unconfirmed rather than guess.

Who it's for

A natural choice for anyone active in the Solana ecosystem who wants the best price without manually checking protocols, and who values very low fees. It won't work for anyone who needs to swap between different blockchains in a single transaction — a multi-chain aggregator like 1inch is a better fit there.

Jupiter Details

  • Type: Aggregator
  • Chains: Solana
  • Typical fee: Varies by routed pools (no fixed Jupiter fee) + Solana network fee
  • Governance token: JUP
  • TVL: ~$0 (August 2026) — aggregator, holds no significant liquidity of its own
  • Audits: Unconfirmed
  • Official site: https://jup.ag

Pros

  • The largest liquidity aggregator on Solana — routes through multiple execution engines (including Metis and JupiterZ) instead of one route provider
  • An ecosystem beyond simple swaps: limit orders, DCA, perpetuals, and infrastructure for other Solana apps
  • Very low transaction fees thanks to Solana's architecture, compared to Ethereum mainnet

Cons

  • Dependent on the health and throughput of the Solana network itself — outages or congestion also affect Jupiter
  • No clearly confirmed, publicly documented scope of security audits for the whole product ecosystem

Technical details

A DEX is a protocol, not a company holding an account — you connect your own wallet, and funds never come under Jupiter's control.

Fee model
Like any aggregator, Jupiter doesn't charge one fixed swap fee — the cost depends on which Solana pools the order routes through, plus Solana's own small network fees (typically fractions of a cent). Select products (perpetuals, limit orders) have their own separate fees.

User reviews

Real ratings and reviews from independent sources — we don't write them ourselves and don't edit the quoted text.

Raccoon Labs runs the official Jupiter Mobile app on the App Store (confirmed via the app's own listing as a Jupiter product) — these reviews are about that app.

Basically i deposited 300$ into my wallet with a key on it then a few seconds later it automatically transferred to a brand new wallet and i didnt send it to anyone or input a wallet address it just vanished so. i wouldn't recommend, js use phantom or something.

Please add the tab of checking chart before swap like it was in the previous update.

Really miss the original background theme. It made it stand out from the rest of my wallets and made it my favorite. Now it's just boring black background. There used to be an option to change the background, bring it back please.

Bigg Chubb, May 2026App Store

I can't believe the experience that I have with this app, usually any app works in that way but this app was completely different because I just downloaded the app, buy the token SOL and swap. I recommend.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to sign up or complete KYC to use Jupiter?

No — Jupiter is a decentralized protocol, not a company running customer accounts. You connect your own wallet (MetaMask or Phantom, depending on the network), and funds stay under your control at all times, not Jupiter's.

Is Jupiter regulated?

Jupiter is an open-source protocol, not a licensed financial institution. Regulation of fully decentralized, non-custodial protocols without an intermediary is genuinely unsettled and varies by jurisdiction — check the rules that apply where you live rather than treating this as legal advice.

Is Jupiter safe?

We haven't confirmed an independent security audit status for Jupiter.

What fees does Jupiter charge?

Like any aggregator, Jupiter doesn't charge one fixed swap fee — the cost depends on which Solana pools the order routes through, plus Solana's own small network fees (typically fractions of a cent). Select products (perpetuals, limit orders) have their own separate fees.
