About Crypto.com

Crypto.com is a Singapore-based crypto exchange founded in 2016, built primarily around a mobile app rather than a traditional web trading terminal. The platform is available in over 100 countries and lists around 150 tradable coins. Fees are relatively low out of the box and can be reduced further by holding Crypto.com Coin (CRO). Daily trading volume runs around $595M.

Crypto.com Coin (CRO)

CRO is Crypto.com's native token, available exclusively on the Crypto.com platform. It became a popular holding during the late-2021 crypto market cycle. Holding and paying fees with CRO unlocks discounts on trading fees, and CRO can also be staked or held in the Crypto.com wallet for yields of up to 14.5% depending on the plan.

Transaction Types

Beyond standard buy, sell, and trade functions, Crypto.com supports deposits, withdrawals, and margin trading. The platform also includes a self-custody wallet and its own NFT marketplace, extending its offering beyond simple spot trading.

Crypto.com Card

Crypto.com issues its own Visa-branded cards with a set of lifestyle perks, including discounts on services like Spotify, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Expedia, and Airbnb, plus cashback of up to 8% on everyday spending depending on the card tier and staking commitment.

Pay for Business

Crypto.com Pay for Business is a B2B payments solution that lets merchants accept Bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies directly on their website. It's designed to plug into most major e-commerce platforms with minimal setup.

Security Incident: January 2022 Breach

In January 2022, Crypto.com experienced a security breach in which attackers gained unauthorized access to a number of user accounts and stole approximately $15M worth of Ether. The company temporarily paused withdrawals while investigating and later stated that no customer ultimately lost funds as a result of the incident, indicating that Crypto.com absorbed the loss itself rather than passing it on to affected users.

An easy to use trading platform. I check in once a day to collect my Diamonds and watch the live trading views. I also was recently approved for the basic level card. I hope with some savvy investing to make my way up through the levels.

One of the best banks I've ever had. I love the fact that you have a bank where you can, bank, invest, save and do both stocks and crypto. Many offers that beats any banks!
